I took a short holiday trip to Bangkok, Thailand last weekend. On this visit, we made a trip to the Dreamworld theme park just 10 minutes away from Don Muang International Airport. The park was really crowded during our visit since it was the Thai monarch’s birthday, which made photography challenging. While waiting for our transport at the end of the day, I caught a glimpse of this park-usher taking a look at the compliments that were left behind by visitors. The brilliant lighting and strong colours attracted me to take this picture.

ARPS #10 – “Excuse Me Please?”


Back to the ARPS series…

“Excuse me?” seems to be what this boatman is telling the captain of the other boat as he tries to manoeuvre his speed boat past the tightly berthed boats at low tide at Changi Jetty, Singapore. These speed boats deliver barrels of fish and seafood to the fishmongers/distributors daily as they await their stock for the day. I like the brilliant/saturated colours as well as the hint of warm morning sunlight that lit the scene.

More action from the Singapore River Regatta over the weekend…

Even though the weather may have not been at its best of late during the rainy season in Singapore, it helped at least in making the river waters nice, dark and green. The dark grey-green (enhanced with a polarizing filter) contrasted nicely with the action of the oarsmen as they paddled and rowed their dragon boat in a frenzy to outdo their competitors.
