Above The Concrete Jungle

Apologies for the lack of updates to my photoblog… I have been away for a short break in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The hot and hazy weather did not promise too much photographic opportunities during my trip. To reduce baggage, I brought what I thought was a bare minimum set-up in the form of my 20D, two lenses (covering a focal length of 18-135mm) and a small tripod. This particular aerial view of the city was taken from the Menara / KL Tower through glass on a blazingly hot day. The particular hotel I was staying at is just partially hidden behind the AXA office building.

None Of My Business

Being able to capture the humour of the situation is the fun of candid photography sometimes. This shot of an ibis standing on one leg (minding its own business by sleeping!) as the crowd of people gathered away from it was caught at Darling Harbour, Sydney, in September 2003.

U-Turn

I really must get out to take some new pictures soon 🙂 A combination of work over the weekends as well as a bout of bad flu has meant little opportunity to go out to take pictures. The above was from the visit I made to Changi Jetty in January. I like the colours of the canoeist contrasting with the deep green of the water.
