I shot this image in colour but I prefer to present the image in B&W. Began my passion of photography in monochrome more than sixty years ago, my enjoyment is endless. If you are a monochrome worker you will begin to count the different tonal ranges you could view in this image. To me, this is the beauty of the B&W photography.
The Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, the famous temple – a UNESCO World Heritage Site consisting of 240 temples, is a unique place to visit. For my trip in 2015, I have selected an angle using the vegetable farm as a foreground to capture an image of this temple against the backdrop of a sunset. The end result shown here is a more colourful image showing the temple in relation to the greenery.
I took a ride on the high-speed train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, China, in Jan 2019. I was impressed with the magnificent architecture of the station. When I reached the station, the lighting was just perfect for the inner side of the building.
I think the station is the masterpiece of the architect. To me, fully utilised the ambient lighting is clearly shown here. I was just in the right place at the right time to capture this beautiful setting.
