Red Lantern usually is a good wish for the family. Along the narrow lane of the old city of Shantou, China, I was attracted by the unusual display of the lantern. To me, the display obviously is associated with the tradition of the old city. The environment is an attraction for another image of photo Travel.
Comparing to my last visit three years ago, the koi in the Janyu Lake in Zhongshan Park, Shantou, China, has flourished to a great extent. I might have been to this park at the age of five. The two visits within the last three years brought back a number of memories of my childhood. This is an interesting image that I captured recently from the Lakeside pavilion in the park.
The slum of a city has to be demolished in order to redevelop the area. Such an urban renewal in the old town of Shantou, China, provided me with a good subject for photography. I like the contrast of the slum against the backdrop of the newly built highrise building. By no time, such a scene will disappear gradually with the progress of urban renewal.
