Composed Overlooking Westminster Bridge

Composed Overlooking Westminster Bridge
For some reason, I have not brought my most serious camera gear in all my visits to London over the years. When I finally made the effort to bring the good stuff (including a tripod, a neutral density filter and a remote shutter release), the Big Ben was all shrouded up for conservation work! Nevertheless, I had an enjoyable walk along the River Thames capturing long exposure pictures of this iconic London city landmark. Credit to William Wordsworth for the title of this shot :p

Twilight Upon The Webb Bridge

Twilight Upon The Webb Bridge
It was well past 9 PM when I took this shot of the Webb bridge after a late dinner in Melbourne. The twilight hour along with the clear skies that evening gave a brilliant blue cast to the sky. I was not planning to do night scene photography with long exposures on this trip and did not bring along a tripod. Luckily, resting my camera on my bag placed on the ground was all that I needed to get the final shot.

Evening By The Webb Bridge

Evening By The Webb Bridge
I have just returned from back-to-back working trips to Australia and India. Managing to squeeze in some time in between for photography, I was glad that we made the decision to stay for dinner by the Webb Bridge (a place I last visited over 8 years ago) in Melbourne. We were just in time to catch the bridge lights come to life just as twilight arrived right after dinner, perfect for us to capture the “blue hour“.
